Water Clocks from Egyptian Days

Water clocks were invented in Egypt around 1400 B.C. (about 3,400 years ago). The process involved in telling time with water clocks was the dripping of water from a high container to a low container. Water clocks were more accurate than sundials, and they told the time at night as well as day.
