Cuckoo Clocks

The cuckoo clock originated in the Black Forest of Germany in the 1700s. It uses weights and a pendulum to keep time. The clocks resemble a chalet house with a cuckoo bird popping out every hour (some every half hour). Cuckoo clocks are prized antiques not only sought out by antique dealers but also collectors.
